Plaid Analytics Joins MortarCAPS Higher Learning Data Standard

Today we are thrilled to announce that we have joined the MortarCAPS Higher Learning Data Standard (MCDS) as a vendor partner.
The MCDS is a not-for-profit initiative focused on improving data interoperability across the global post-secondary education sector. By providing a shared, open standard for how higher-ed data is structured and exchanged, MCDS helps institutions and their partners connect systems more easily, reduce duplication, and unlock richer insights.
At Plaid Analytics, we have been building tools that power institutional intelligence for nearly a decade. From automated data pipelines and cloud warehouses to dashboards and forecasting tools, our work has always been about helping institutions use their data to achieve their goals.
By aligning with MCDS, we’ll continue helping our partners:
- Connect systems through a shared, interoperable data model
- Accelerate reporting and analytics with cleaner, standardized data
- Build evidence-based practices that improve outcomes for students and operations alike
“We believe in helping institutions spend less time on plumbing and more time on insight. Joining MCDS supports that vision by giving our clients a shared framework for data that’s interoperable, open, and built for the future of higher education.”
— Andrew Drinkwater, Co-Founder and President, Plaid Analytics
Standards like MCDS are essential to bridging the gap between provosts, CIOs, registrars, institutional researchers, and strategic enrolment planners — helping them speak a common data language and act more quickly on shared insights.
Our collaboration with MortarCAPS will make it even easier for institutions to connect systems, clean data faster, and reduce the cost and complexity of custom integrations.
We’re excited to join this growing community of innovators working to make higher-education data simpler, faster, and more impactful.
